Mrs. Sarah Josephine Straughan, widow of the late John W. Straughan died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Robert Y. Williams, on Thursday April 12. Funeral services at the home on Sunday monring were in charge of Rev. W.D> Headrick. Interment in Russellville Cemetery. Mrs. Straughan was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Harrison and was born 83 years ago Feb 1, 1853 she married Dr. Straughan. Until 1910 they lived on a farm near Parkersburg where Dr.  Straughan had one of the largest practices in this section. She was a worthy helpmate and leaves a record of good deeds and a host of friends. Dr. Straughan died in 1911 and since then she has made her home with Mrs. Williams. The other children are Robert Straughan of Parkersburg and Dr. Kent K. Straughan. Rhere are two sisters, Mrs. Rebecca Osborne of Ladoga and Mrs. Elizabeth Armstrong of Oklahoma City.
